Looking through the submissions for Wikimania, I see that there is nothing yet on the subject of researchers in Wikipedia and there could be a good panel or workshop discussion on this topic. At the moment, the theme would be something along the lines of “Researchers in my Wikipedia? It’s more likely than you think” and have wiki researchers on the panel who will talk about ethics, protocols, methodologies, and their relation to community norms and policies. :::: CPoV-Konferenz: „It’s about Wikipedia and it’s not about Wikipedia“
3 MayDer Titel der Konferenz ‚Critical Point of View‘ (CPoV) spielte auf eines der Grundprinzipien der Online-Enzyklopädie Wikipedia an: den Neutralen Standpunkt. Ziel der Konferenz war es, ForscherInnen, KünstlerInnen, WikipedianerInnen sowie MedienkritikerInnen zu versammeln, um das Projekt Wikipedia im Besonderen und digitale Wissens(re)produktion im Allgemeinen zu diskutieren: „It’s about Wikipedia and it’s not about Wikipedia“, sagte einer der Initiatoren bei der vorausgegangenen Konferenz ‚WikiWars‘, die bereits im Januar 2010 in Bangalore stattgefunden hatte. Diese beiden Konferenzen, der CPoV-Blog und die dazugehörige Mailingliste stellen Räume zur Verfügung, in welchen kritische Wikipedia-Forschung angestoßen und sich mit Ergebnissen und Kommentaren auseinandergesetzt werden soll. Das Ziel der Initiative ist es, ein internationales Netzwerk der Wikipedia-Forschung aufzubauen.
